Term 2 Week 1

Dear Parents,

As lessons resumed in term 2, the next few weeks are going to be rather hectic due to the coming examinations. Just a reminder, P4 Oral exam is just 2 weeks ahead. The class had started practising on Reading since term 1 and will be moving on to Stimulus-based Conversation this week. As of now, there are still a number of students who have not completed Oral Practices 1 and 2. We will schedule another ICT lesson in class for students who can't record at home.

On Wednesday, our class had a FTGP bonding session in the morning by having breakfast together. The students were so looking forward to this event since last term. I hope the students had learned a little more about their friends and teachers after this session.

Enjoy the videos and photos!

Coincidentally, it was Celyn's birthday as well. Happy Birthday Celyn!
We had a series of group photos after all of us had our fill.

Ethan created his name using the biscuits
Another creation by Ethan
Ryan Chan was the first to start using the biscuits to form names. His friends started following this trend afterwords.
Another Ryan Chan's creation.
It was Brenda's turn next.
Finally, Hannah's improvised version (notice how she used an 'U' as a 'n'?).
Athena's masterpiece
A few more girls tried their hands on the biscuits.

All of us did our part in cleaning up the place.

Ms Serene: Leave the place as clean as it was initially.

Oral Practice 2

March Holidays

Dear Parents,

I would like to share our recent ICT lesson using mobile carts with you. As the oral examinations are coming, this is also a good platform to monitor your child's progress. I will be posting another Oral Practice this week. Do allow your child to access the computer to practice their reading skills.

Meanwhile, I would like to share the list of Elias Star winners for the month of February.
They are (R to L) Srivathsan, Florence, Regina, Kylie, Mateen, Hannah and Sze Ryn. Wing Xin is also our February Elias Star.

As for EL and Science homework, students are to do another Oral Practice online (via our class blog) and  Science weekly worksheets.

Term 1 Week 10

Dear Parents,

How time flies! In this week, students had a chance to use balancing scales for their Science lessons. Students need to know that matter has mass for this particular experiment.

Group 6 working on their practical

Group 5 had difficulty balancing the scale initially

Group 4 took quite a while to know what steps to take

Group 2 were meddling with the scale too much and was not able to complete their tasks

On Tuesday, the students, parent volunteers and teachers had a chance to visit East Coast Road Safety Park, in line with our English STELLAR unit on accidents.

Term 1 Week 9

Dear Parents,

By now, you would have seen your child's files and work for the past term. Thank you all for signing your child's files promptly so that they can leave their files in school without carrying them around in their bags.

In the recent Science topical test on Life Cycles, all students were generally able to answer the knowledge questions. Some areas of improvement includes experimental skills and the process skill in applying Scientific concepts.

Meanwhile, here are 2 photos and a video of Glenda and Janessa who volunteered to go up on stage during our assembly programme on Tuesday.

Regards,
Stan
